Remembering 9/11, Praying for Peace
On this anniversary of September 11, 2001, we join with people across the United States and around the world in remembering the many lives lost in the tragic events of that took place ten years ago. We mourn with family members, friends, and all who continue to be impacted by the horrific events of that day. We join together in prayer for the healing of individuals whose bodies and lives were torn apart.
We pray for justice, reconciliation, and compassion in the human family and a future in which all people may live in peace, freedom, safety, hope, and dignity. As we raise up the memories of the thousands of men, women, and children who perished on September 11 and in the months and years following, let us also look forward and pray for the courage to work together for a better and more peaceful world.
