Churches for Middle East Peace Employment Announcement Deputy Director Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP), is seeking a full time Deputy Director. CMEP is a coalition of 22 national churches and church organizations that advocates directly with the Congress and the Administration for strong U.S. leadership to help end the Israel-Palestinian conflict. The Deputy Director reports to the Executive Director and will have the following responsibilities. Government Relations and Policy:

Requirements: We are seeking a mature, energetic and resourceful person with experience working on Capitol Hill or for an advocacy organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to CMEP policy positions and have background in Middle East peace issues, preferably with an interest in working with churches and church constituencies. The individual will have strong organizational, writing and communications skills and have the ability to respond quickly and effectively to complex and shifting situations. The latest starting date will be the end of June, but could be earlier. The position includes health insurance and a generous vacation and sick day package.
